Always check the seal in the axle if a 32 spline CV is being replaced as the 24/23 shafts all need seal no 571718. If this seal is incorrect oil will migrate from the diff into the swivel housing.
Any 'dry running' spline will be subject to 'fretting corrosion' any will lead to premature failure of the spline/drive member. With oil filled swivels this is not a problem as oil can migrate along the CV shaft to lubricate the spline, on grease filled hube this can be a problem so needs constant attention.
When fitting the CV joint we recommend one tube of One Shot per CV joint.
